(This was available in bzr already at the time of your last comment.) I have since figured out the ways of my errors, and have gotten my own Bitlbee server up and running. However, that link does not help me with connecting to a hidden Bitlbee server, and it does not help me with changing the Jabber priority in Bitlbee.
