If you aren’t aware of the recent scare in the industry, you should take a look. Below are two images that are hyperlinked to their appropriate sites, both with a single focus- to protect your freedoms. Each have their separate campaigns. I would encourage you to sign up at both sites. Vista is bad news. DRM is bad news. Both are enemies to your freedom.

I checked out defectivebydesign, and it appears that there was no news whatsoever about the landmark decision in Norway about iTunes:

Why would a site like this ignore such important news?

Mitchell-
It’s not my job to deliver news. Google News, Slashdot, Digg, Reddit and many others do a much better job at that.
My job, as a blogger, is to insert my opinion about the news. As such, my opinion about DRM and Windows Vista is bad bad news.
But, now that you brought it up, I’ll weigh in lightly on the matter.
In a nutshell? It would be nice to see both Steve Jobs and Bill Gates put their money where their mouth is. They complain about it, yet, they don’t bother fighting it in court, or removing it from their software.
As far as the Norway/iTunes deal? I hope that Norway wins, and I hope a trend follows that makes DRM illegal on a federal level. It’s malware- malicious, restrictive and spreads like a virus. Indeed, it is a virus.
One more reason why I use Free Software.
