@Michael BeBusk, @Jason- Thanks for the heads up on the link. This theme is much better than what I had earlier. More readable, simple, elegant, and yet stylish. Very cool.

@Jason- Yeah, I don't know what's wrong with the plugin. It's not tested for 2.4 yet, which I'm running, so I bet that has something to do with it.

Broken OpenID login capability ate my comment.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR :(.

Here was the gist of it:
1) The colors (especially on single post (i.e. comment view) pages clash so horribly.

Bright Yellow on White? My eyes are melting as I type this.

2) If you're savvy with CSS and have the time to put into it, Sandbox is a GREAT flexible theme to work with.
It's part of the PlainTXT series of themes (linked above), and it's the best of the lot.

...gotta run, eyes melted.

I'd suggest at least making the text black, gray on white is a little hard to read.

There are some nice minimalist themes by Scott Wallick at http://www.plaintxt.org/ . I use VeryPlainText for my site. I wish it had a bit of color, though, and am finding myself agreeing with jedHegy on the subject of screen width.

(I notice you have the user agent above the comment. Sorry about polluting your blog with Windows; I'm at work.)

Got to say that I miss the black. Maybe its just me, but it looks a lot harder to read the text, specifically the comment box I am typing into.

@jegHegy- Yeah. I can see how it can be a bit difficult to follow the text when you have a wide screen display with a decent resolution. Another reason to pick up the pixel size on the font a bit I think.

I would advise against using really wide columns for body text, because that way it's harder for the eye to follow the text.

Optimal amount of words per line for english is around 10-12.
