1) The colors (especially on single post (i.e. comment view) pages clash so horribly.

2) If you’re savvy with CSS and have the time to put into it, Sandbox is a GREAT flexible theme to work with.
It’s part of the PlainTXT series of themes (linked above), and it’s the best of the lot.
