		<description><![CDATA[LVM really is awesome!  It takes some getting used to initially, but it&#039;s very cool.  About software raid ... I briefly tried md RAID1 + LVM2.  I gave up on it (a) because I could not get my machine to boot from it because of some initrd quirk that no-one could answer and (b) because I realised RAID1 was not really what I wanted.  However, in the process I did notice that LVM supports snapshots, mirrors and striping.  Therefore, I think LVM can actually do most of what the linux kernel software raid can do by itself.  I&#039;ve not tried these features yet though!]]></description>
