I love how '/save' will intelligently append the appropriate section of the config file. That's impressive and really helpful.

You saved me a lot of time in configuring my irssi to do what I need.

By: bonez Thu, 29 Aug 2013 15:31:01 +0000 I have had a locally run installation of bitlbee/irssi for a few years. I believe i set it up upon reading an article in linuxjoural. I write because after being away from my linux box (ubuntu 12.04) for a week, I went to log on to bitlbee via irssi and found the following:

09:29 -!- Irssi: Looking up localhost
09:29 -!- Irssi: Connecting to localhost [] port 6667
09:29 -!- Irssi: Unable to connect server localhost port 6667 [Cannot assign
requested address:]

Is this a matter of localhost being misconfigured, or is it my bitlbee installation?

Please advise.

Before, I'd issue /connect localhost and I'd get the screen 1, switch to screen 2, identify and all my networks would connect. Now, nothing.
