A Week Gone- What Else Can I Say?

Well, it has been a week since the last post, and what can I say?  Not a lot really.  I have been busy with school and work.  As much as I would like to set aside time to post on a daily basis, sometimes it just doesn't happen.  So, rather than ramble about my boring life, here is a digest of a few things of late, that don't necessarily lie within the past week:

  • Weber State University Computer Science has finally decided to put up my site. However, with that said, it still resides under the Icarus subdomain, instead of the CS subdomain.  I think this is because they are still under confusion on how to host a PHP site on a Windows server.  I dunno.  I have a meeting on the 27th, so I'll know more then.  In the meantime, I think I am supposed to see about converting the site to straight HTML.
  • I rediscovered Portable Apps for a second time.  What an amazing site!  Since then, I have been able to download OpenOffice.org, Gaim, Firefox and Thunderbird, and burn them onto 210 MB CDs.  Those CDs fit easily into my wallet, so I can carry them anywhere anytime.  Nice.
  • I am trying to setup an email server here at home for my local LUG, and I am having no luck whatsoever.  First, it was just getting the stupid software installed, now it's getting it configured properly to manage the mail.  I can send the mail, but for some odd reason, it isn't showing up on the server.  I have no idea.
  • I have registered Yahoo!, MSN, AOL, ICQ, and Gmail instant messaging accounts.  Think of it this way: I want to stay connected to the people who matter most.  Unfortuantely, not everyone uses the same connection, and these services don't play with each other, so I am forced to be the peace maker.  Thankfully, for free, Gaim will handle all of them simulaneously.  If you would like to get ahold of me via one of these methods, check out my Ubuntuforums account.  They are all listed there.  Maybe, I will put them on this site, but for the time being...

That works.  More to come.
